Arduino Uno es una placa microcontrolador basada en ATmega328 (datasheet). Posee 14 entradas/salidas digitales ( 6 de las cuales pueden ser utilizadas como salidas PWM), 6 entradas digitales, un oscilador a 16 MHz, conexión USB, jack de corriente, cabecera ICSP, y un botón de reset. La placa contiene todo lo necesario para dar soporte al microcontrolador, simplemente se conecta al ordenador a través de su conector USB o con un adaptador DC/DC, o una bateria, o pila y ya está listo para funcionar.
Este modelo ( Arduino Uno) se diferencia del modelo anterior en que no utiliza el chip USB a serie FTDI. En si lugar se utiliza el Atmega8U2 programable como convertidor USB a seri

Características físicas
The maximum length and width of the Uno PCB are 2.7 and 2.1 inches respectively, with the USB connector and power jack extending beyond the former dimension. Four screw holes allow the board to be attached to a surface or case. Note that the distance between digital pins 7 and 8 is 160 mil (0.16"), not an even multiple of the 100 mil spacing of the other pins.
